A RECIPE ON HOW TO BE PERFECTLY MISERABLE in 2012 Think about yourself. Be selfish. Use “I” as often as possible. Mirror yourself continually in the opinion of others. Listen greedily to what people say of you. Expect to be appreciated. Be suspicious. Be jealous and envious. Be sensitive to slights. Never forgive a criticism. Trust nobody but yourself. Insist on consideration and respect. Demand agreement with your own views on everything. Sulk if people are not grateful to you for favors shown them. Never forget a service you may have rendered. Be on the lookout for a good time for yourself. Shirk your duties if you can. Do as little as possible for others. Love yourself supremely. Be selfish. from The Epistle Greek Orthodox Retired Clergy Association
You don't have to be Greek to be Greek Orthodox! Some Greek is used in the service by the choir. The priest uses English only at Sunday liturgies. All of God's peoples are most welcome!

Western Nebraska's only Orthodox Church
On October 28, 2001, His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios (Presiding Hierarch of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America) and His Eminence Metropolitan Isaiah (Metropolis of Denver) consecrated the parish of the Assumption of the Theotokos. The parish began her life in God the Holy Trinity in 1925 and is the only Greek Orthodox Church between Lincoln, Nebraska and Cheyenne, Wyoming. The Divine Liturgy, the other Mysteries (Sacraments) of the Eastern Orthodox Church, and special devotion to the Mother of God have sustained her for over eighty years. The parish's Hellenic people and culture have been a source of beauty, strength, and joyful commitment to God's Church. This commitment is shared annually through a festival in which family, friends, and people from many states participate. With God's help and mercy, Assumption Greek Orthodox Church will entrust the priceless, lifegiving legacy of the Faith of the Apostles, the Holy Scriptures, and the Fathers to many generations.
Serving Alliance, Bayard, Bridgeport, Gering-Scottsbluff, Sidney, and beyond.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen. 2 Corinthians 13.14.
